Art Attack with Assiginack Public School
September 24, 2008
Eight different stations were set up throughout the centre, and 82 students moved through activities throughout the day. These included:
Sound and Movement, Shadow Puppets, Rhythm, Balance and Tension, Flexibility, Make a Story, Stereotypes and Character Sketches, and Paint Explosion.
During the day, an informal workshop was delivered to the teaching staff, highlighting the training paradigm we work within, as well as key tools and resources that we utilize.
The purpose of the Art Attack Assiginack was to explore the capacity of our staff and facility to meet the needs of a group of students of this size and diversity. It was also to build on our relationship with the closest school – which is only a couple hundred yards up the street – and to demonstrate to students, teaching staff and us – the potential of such creative, interactive, animated learning.
